Oh what a beautiful day!

We had such a beautiful day, sunny, warm, and NO wind. It was great!
The kids and I walked down to the park after school today, the boys rode their bikes and I pushed the two girls in the big stroller and had Big Phil in the front pack. I'm sure we were quite a sight but we had fun.
I was so proud of Grant today , some of his friends from school were at the park. When it was time to go he didn't whine he was go to just come without a fight and then his friend asked if he had to go home he told him yes and then turned to me and quietly and nicely asked if we could please stay a little longer. I decided to let him stay so I gave him the cell phone and told him to head home at 4:45 and that if he wasn't home by 5:00 I would come looking for him. I think he was surprised and a little nervous but he said he could handle it. I reminded him that this was his first chance to do this and that if he didn't do like I asked it would be a long time before he would have a second chance.
So the other kids and I got home just before 4:45 so I called the phone to make sure he would remember to look at the time and then sure enough at 5:02 he turned into the drive way. seeing him by himself like that made me realize have fast he is growing up. Hes quite the guy.
Natalie is recovered from her surgery she still has a big bump where the hernia was but we are hoping that it is just fluid and that the hernia didn't come back we just have to watch and wait.
Everyone else is great Reese is doing good in school and Sophie and Phil are both growing so fast. The boys got to go ice skating with the church group Saturday they really had fun.Rachel came for a visit this weekend we all enjoy seeing her . I t is so nice to have her only an hour and a half away.
We are all counting the days 'til summer we can't wait.

Natalies Big Day

Daddys Girl With Her New Bunny!
Natalie had her surgery this morning, all went well. She did so good and was so brave.

She got sick a couple times but now other than some pain when she moves around she is doing well.

Events like this always remind us how blessed we are to have healthy children, its so hard watching them go through it I just can't imagine having a child with a Major illness God is so good to us.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

busy week

I've been meaning to do this sooner, its been busy around here. Sophie was sick last week ended up in the ER with her but all turned out fine just a virus. Casey and I got to go out on saturday night that was the first time since october. We hired a babysitter ( with five kids that cost as much as the meal) the kids really liked her and so did we. Nice to find some one here. It actually worked out really well, Laura the sitter was supposed to come at 6:30, and at 6:00 Jamie and Aarron Christiansen called to say they were in town so we went to dinner with them. We had a good time.
We had a huge family fight last night.....
Wal- Mart had some really cool dart guns on clearance the other day so we bought one for each of the kids last night after dinner we had a war in the house I think Casey and I had as much or more fun than the kids.
Natalie surgury is thursday, it just minor but its always nerve racking to have them go under the knife.I maybe more nervouse than she is at this point.
I will be sure and do a update at the end of the week, until then have a great week.
